The history of Masi is a history of deep ties with the territory of the Venetian regions and, in particular, with Valpolicella. The company has its roots way back in 1772, when the Boscaini family, the current owners, purchased the “Vaio dei Masi”, a small valley in the municipality of Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Since then, for seven generations, the Masi family has continued to dedicate itself to the production of high-quality wines, with a philosophy that combines research and innovation with respect for tradition. Masi has become a point of reference in the Italian and international wine scene, famous for its mastery of the appassimento technique (fundamental for wines such as Amarone) and for the constant valorization of native vines and the most authentic expressions of the Veronese territory. Masi’s Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico is a tribute to the great winemaking tradition of Verona, re-proposed with a touch of modernity that enhances its freshness and elegance. As Ernest Hemingway defined it, it is “as cordial as the home of a brother you get along with”: a wine that puts you at ease. Produced in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, it is born from the skilful union of the native Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes. The result is a wine with a lively character and an inviting aromatic profile, ideal for accompanying convivial moments and the most varied occasions.

To the eye it presents itself with a medium intensity cherry red, bright and captivating. On the nose it is intense and fruity, dominated by pleasant hints of ripe cherry, which blend with light spicy notes. On the palate it is fresh and pleasantly acidic, characterized by soft and silky tannins that caress the palate. The fruit is still the protagonist, with the dominant cherry flanked by delicate nuances of vanilla, which give complexity and persistence. The finish is harmonious and inviting. Bonacosta Valpolicella Classico is a true “wine for all meals”, thanks to its versatility and freshness. It pairs magnificently with soups, pasta and risotto, both meat and vegetable. Excellent with simple and important dishes based on red meat, such as roasts, braised meats and grilled meats. Perfect with medium-aged cheeses, enhancing their flavours without overpowering them. It goes well with traditional Italian cuisine, thanks to its acidity and fruity profile.
