Rigoletto is a passito wine made from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes grown on the S.Cristina estate. It has a lively golden yellow color, with an intense bouquet of floral notes, beeswax and hints of vanilla. On the palate it has a good body, with a good aromatic persistence expressed by sweet aromas of acacia honey.
Sergio Zenato founded his winery in 1960 on the Veneto side south of Lake Garda, in the lands of Lugana and Valpolicella, devoting himself with passion and great spirit of enterprise to the cultivation of native vines such as Trebbiano di Lugana and the renowned Corvina, Rondinella and Osoleta. Thanks to new winemaking techniques and a strong bond with the territory, today the Zenato company, led by his sons and his wife, extends for 75 hectares between the S. Cristina Estate in San Benedetto di Lugana and the Costalunga Estate in Valpolicella, and exports high quality wines such as the famous Amarone Zenato, in 60 countries of the world, synonymous with excellence and dedication to the territory.
Rigoletto white passito wine is obtained from selected Trebbiano di Lugana grapes grown in the vineyards of Peschiera del Garda, which after the harvest are left to rest and vinified in the first months of the following year. The vinification takes place for the first 4 days in stainless steel tanks, and only subsequently for 30-40 days in French wooden barriques. The refinement takes place in wooden barriques for 12 months, then again in steel, and in the bottle for another 5-6 months. A wine to be enjoyed with good dry desserts or a strictly Veronese pandoro.
