Brigo Gorelli is a pure Sangiovese coming from the youngest vines. The winemaking uses a nowadays unusual process and the grapes ferment together with a small amount of stalks. The resulting wine is fresh with hints of red fruit and good acidity.
Gorelli is a winery created only in 2017 but the founder is a character with great experience in the world of wine, who wanted to go beyond consulting and touch even more closely the life of the winery in all its aspects. The dimensions are really small, only 4 hectares of vineyards and 2 of breeding but in an area where Sangiovese is able to give its best. Gorelli personally takes care of the management of the vineyards, the harvesting and subsequent vinification using traditional methods and spontaneous fermentations.
Brigo Gorelli is produced with Sangiovese grapes from younger vineyards which are fermented together with a reduced quantity of stalks. This method was used in the past, that is when there were only crushers and not crushers-destemmers. This Sangiovese ferments spontaneously in stainless steel containers for about 20 days and then stays there for another 10 months, before entering the bottle.
The Brigo Gorelli has a ruby red color with aromas of multiple red fruits in balance, a vibrant acid note and a harmonious and juicy taste.
