Santo Stefano Irpinia Campi Taurasini DOC is a red made from Aglianico, vinified to bring out freshness and structure. It is a younger, more immediate reading of Taurasi, while keeping elegance and complexity. Ageing helps make the wine harmonious and well balanced.
On the nose it opens with scents of ripe red fruit, cherry and plum, alongside light spicy notes and hints of undergrowth. On the palate it is structured, with tannins that are present but well integrated, good freshness and a lingering finish. It pairs perfectly with red meat, roasts, game and aged cheeses.
