Tenuta Carretta is one of the most prestigious long-established estates in Piedmont winegrowing. With Airali, Tenuta Carretta gives its fullest reading of the Alta Langa’s vocation for great Metodo Classico sparkling wines, making the most of every vintage through craft handling and long ageing in the bottle.

Airali Brut is a vintage Alta Langa DOCG made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grown on the high hills of southern Piedmont. The second fermentation in the bottle by the Metodo Classico and at least 36 months on the lees give the wine great finesse, structure and balance. The result is an elegant, long-lived sparkling wine with a marked sense of place.

In the glass it shows a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose come intense notes of bread crust, dried fruit, dried figs and honey. On the palate it is soft, savoury, balanced and well structured, with a pleasant freshness that carries the sip through to a long, elegant finish. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with fish, shellfish, delicate risotto and fresh cheeses.
