Altigo is the most authentic tale of mountain viticulture. A wine born from the encounter of three different altitudes and their microclimates, capturing the essence of the Dolomites in every glass. Fresh, elegant, and mineral, it invites a sensory journey through alpine meadows, wildflowers, and ripe fruit, offering the thrill of contemplating the majestic peaks that dominate the Cembra Valley.
Corvée is a French term used during feudal times to indicate the free labor provided by a vassal for his lord. The many hours of labor of the vassals of the Cembra Valley in Trentino resulted in the creation of 400 km of terraced porphyry stone walls that delineate a magnificent landscape, from 250 meters above sea level in Mosana to 1,000 meters in Faver. Within this tract of land lie the 14 hectares of vineyards of the Corvée winery, founded with the idea of expressing the full potential of the vines, cultivated with environmental sustainability and respect for tradition, to produce excellent wines in the Trentino DOC, which in many ways remains untapped. An ambitious but successful project.
Altigo Bianco Vigneti delle Dolomiti I.G.T. is a refined blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Müller Thurgau from vineyards located at different altitudes. The name recalls the “dizzying heights” of the mountains and represents the harmonious union of three territorial souls. Vinified in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and aged on the fine lees for six months, it expresses freshness, aromatic complexity, and elegance, perfectly interpreting the character of the Trentino mountains.
In the glass, it displays a straw yellow color with delicate greenish reflections. On the nose, it offers an intense and layered bouquet, with notes of Golden Delicious apples, Abate pears, wildflowers, and elderflower, enriched by a pleasant mineral component and nuances reminiscent of moss and lichen. On the palate, it is fresh, balanced, and harmonious, with a lively savory finish that enhances its persistence and drinkability. It pairs splendidly with delicate appetizers, fish dishes, shellfish, vegetable risottos, fresh cheeses, white meats, and light mountain cuisine.
