Tequila Plata Olmeca Altos produced with the best blue agave is colorless and crystalline, in its genuine purity. Herbaceous notes and references of cooked agave prevail on the nose, and then give way to citrus hints and slight sweet hints of vanilla. On the palate the aromas and olfactory sensations are confirmed, with a fresh and soft taste with good persistence.
The history of Tequila Olmeca Altos is linked to two bartenders Andrés Masso and Henry Besant who, after obtaining awards and recognitions, decide to test themselves with the production of quality Tequila, recognizing its growth margins in the world of spirits. This is how Olmeca Altos comes to life after involving the Tequilero master Jesùs Hernandez in the project. The basic assumption is the search for the best raw material such as the Weber blue agave plants harvested at 2000 meters on rich soils of volcanic origin to produce the two labels Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado, among the best in all of Mexico.
The agave plants from which Tequila Plata is obtained are carefully selected at high altitudes and cut by hand when they are 8 years old. The cooking process takes place in brick ovens for 3 days, after which the agave is pressed and left to ferment thanks solely to indigenous yeasts. The precious liquid obtained is subjected to a double distillation in copper stills and then bottled and marketed. Result: an extraordinary Tequila loved by the best bartenders in the world.
