The San Marzano cellars represent a significant reality in Apulian viticulture, contributing to the affirmation of local wines on the national and international market. It all began in 1962, when 19 winemakers met to share resources and experiences to meet the challenge of the world of wine, which was then constantly evolving. Today the cooperative has 1200 members and 1500 hectares of vineyards in the Taranto and Salento hinterland. The wines it produces testify to the great respect for its land and its traditions, but with an eye always turned forward in knowing how to interpret technological development always in favor of the best sustainable quality. The attention towards the protection and valorisation of the old sapling vineyards has directed production largely towards Primitivo and Negroamaro, without neglecting other Apulian vines such as Malvasia Nera del Salento, Verdeca or the same international Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot grapes which they have adapted well in Puglia.

Liboll Extra Dry Rosè produced by Cantine San Marzano, and obtained from red grape vineyards, approximately 150 m above sea level. The area is characterized by high thermal sums and medium-low rainfall. The soil is of medium texture, tending towards calcareous. The winemaking takes place from softly pressed whole grapes, using only the first fraction of free-run must (55%) which is then fermented at low temperature. The wine obtained is further processed in an autoclave with the “Charmat” sparkling process, the refinement is in the bottle at a controlled temperature.

Liboll Extra Dry Rosè produced by Cantine San Marzano has a transparent pink color with some amaranth reflections. On the nose the aromas are strong and decisive, with fruity hints and floral nuances, white peach, pomegranate and sage. Fresh and round on the palate, well balanced, with a strong personality and pleasantness.
