Hendrick’s Orbium

Hendrick’s gin is a perfect combination of tradition and uniqueness. Born in Scotland, in Ayrshire, it derives from an ancient distilling art; although its appearance dates back to the late 90s, its recipe and production method were born many years earlier by Lesley Gracie, master distiller of the Girvan Distillery.

Hendrick’s Orbium represents a bold reinterpretation of the famous Hendrick’s gin, fruit of the creative genius of Lesley Gracie. A work that transports the senses to a parallel universe, where tradition meets innovation. Characterized by an aromatic complexity, Orbium is born from the careful infusion of extracts of quinine, absinthe and blue lotus flower. This unique combination gives the gin a rounded and balanced taste profile, with bitter and floral notes that blend in a surprising harmony.

The addition of quinine, a typical component of quinine wines, gives Hendrick’s Orbium a light bitterness that stimulates the palate and makes it particularly suitable for the creation of sophisticated cocktails. Absinthe, with its herbaceous and aromatic notes, adds depth and complexity to the aromatic profile, while the blue lotus flower contributes a delicate floral note.

On the palate it is round and balanced, with a pleasant bitterness and a delicate floral note, in the finish it is long and persistent, with a pleasant bitter aftertaste.

Perfect with a Martini, but it can also be enjoyed neat or with the addition of a simple lemon peel.
