Funtanaliras is a Vermentino di Galluria from the Cantina Sociale del Vermentino, straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, the nose shows fragrant hints of green apple and banana, followed by delicate floral notes of jasmine and aromatic herbs. In the mouth it is soft and dry, with a good balance between mineral flavor and sweetness. With a persistent finish of bitter almond.
The history of the Cantina Sociale del Vermentino dates back to the year 1956 when 22 Montini winemakers signed the deed of incorporation, giving life to the cooperative that was born with the name of “Cantina Sociale del Vermentino”. Its name derives from the most important varieties of Sardinia. The winery is located in Monti, a village located in the immediate hinterland of the Costa Smeralda which, like the rest of the island, faced the difficulties deriving from those years of crisis, but despite the harsh reality deriving from it, the little work and the consequent emigration towards the north of Italy or the European countries, there was an important trend towards viticulture.
