Welcome to the Campi Flegrei, a thin strip of land jutting into the sea north of the Gulf of Naples, where bays and volcanic headlands frame the blue sea. Around here the vine still grows on own roots.
Falanghina dei Campi Flegrei is a grape variety of Greek origin, is still grown on own roots, thanks to volcanic area and a favorable ecosystem. The screw, supported to a pole – Phalange – from which it takes its name, offers tapered bunches matured reach a golden color.
Is pale yellow with golden hues, the nose has fresh notes but intensely delicate: plant, first, on the surface, and that faint memory of sage, Mediterranean, green pepper. The fruit arrives at a later time; yellow peach and pineapple not too ripe, and then the mineral salts; Seasonings decided in the reverberations of the volcanic soil. On the palate the wine is well supported by a pleasant acidity with an expressive freshness.
