Dos Maderas PX 5 + 5 is a Rum from Barbados and the Republic of Guyana carefully assembled and aged for the first 5 years in the Caribbean, to then be transferred to the Spanish Williams & Humbert distilleries, where it ages the next 5 years in barrels that contained the Sherry Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. A great Rum that deserves to be enjoyed fully, and now also with 2 Dos Maderas glasses.
Bodega Williams & Humbert was born in 1877 in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, founded by Sir Alexander Williams, today considered one of the most famous in the world in the production of Sherry. The vineyards stretch between Jerez and Puerto di Santa Maria, in a land with a high wine vocation and a perfect microclimate. Here, Williams & Humbert is carrying out the Dos Maderas project with care and dedication, according to which Rums are initially produced and assembled in the Caribbean and then mature in Jerez. This process leads to the creation of distillates with complex and particularly pleasant aromas.
Rum Dos Maderas 5 + 5 years old has an intense flavor that reflects complex processing and double maturation, from the Caribbean to Spain. On the nose stand out hints of vanilla and fruit, on the palate it’s warm and round, with notes that refer to dried figs and raisins, with a long and extremely pleasant finish.
