Pierre Callot's Blanc de Blancs Champagne is an elegant expression of the Côte des Blancs: a pure, refined, and luminous Chardonnay capable of transforming every toast into a special moment. Its fine bubbles and mineral freshness create a harmonious and engaging sip, ideal for those seeking an authentic Champagne with great personality and French charm.
Founded by Pierre in 1955, the Maison, now led by Thierry, cultivates estate-owned vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, where Chardonnay (naturally) reigns supreme. The grapes are harvested in the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, and Chouilly, and in the Premier Cru village of Grauves. Approximately 4,500 bottles of this cuvée are produced annually out of a total of 35,000.
The Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru is produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the prestigious Grand Cru villages of Avize, Cramant, and Chouilly. The cuvée blends wines from different vintages, with a portion of reserve wines that lend complexity and balance. Aging on the lees for approximately 30 months enhances elegance, finesse, and aromatic depth, preserving the typical freshness of the Côte des Blancs.
In the glass, it appears brilliant, with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, floral and citrus aromas emerge, along with delicate notes of bread crust and chalk. On the palate, it is fresh, mineral, and harmonious, with a pleasant savory tension and an elegant finish. Perfect as an aperitif, it pairs splendidly with oysters, shellfish, sushi, fish tartare, delicate risottos, and fresh cheeses.
