Moscato d’Asti

€ 16,50 VAT included · 75 cl

Moscato d'Asti is the dessert wine par excellence. It has a straw yellow color and a fine and elegant perlage, while the nose is fruity and particularly persistent. In the mouth the sweetness is accompanied by an aromatic vein, with the right amount of acidity that goes well with the low alcohol content.

Description Technical details

The I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano winery was founded by the Scavino and Ceretto families in 1976 in an area with a wine vocation such as the province of Asti in Piedmont. The intent was o create a reality oriented to the quality of Moscato Bianco grapes, rather than quantity for purely commercial use as it had always been in those areas. And it’s precisely to the continuous search for quality that we owe the success of I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano, respectful of the more traditional and natural processes of viticulture and processing of grapes in the cellar. Today the company owns 25 hectares of vineyards between Santo Stefano, Canelli and Calosso, as well as renting another 16 hectares of the prestigious Tenuta San Maurizio owned by Count Carlo Vittorio Incisa Beccaria, for a total of 41 hectares of vineyards.

Moscato d’Asti from I Vignaioli di Santo Stefano is produced with Moscato Bianco grapes in the hilly vineyards between Santo Stefano Belbo, Canelli and Canosso, characterized by a sandy and clayey soil. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 15-18 ° C until the alcohol content of 5.5% Vol is reached, followed by subsequent filtrations to obtain clarity and stability until bottling at low temperatures to preserve it in the best possible way. An ideal wine with desserts and dry pastries at the end of the meal.
