Tanqueray London Dry Gin is a great classic among gin lovers and bartenders from all over the world. Obtained from 4 botanicals without the use of citrus fruits, in the glass it's crystalline, while on the nose the aromas of juniper, balsamic and herbaceous notes prevail, and licorice root. Charles Tanqueray in 1830 founded his distillery with the aim of producing a gin with an unmistakable flavor and of the highest quality. This objective has been successfully achieved as evidenced by the great diffusion and popularity in the best cocktail bars around the world of his London Dry Gin, currently produced in the Cameronbridge plant in Scotland by the beverage giant Diageo, owner of the brand. It’s difficult to think of a good Gin Tonic that is not mixed with Tanqueray.
Tanqueray London Dry Gin is still produced respecting the ancient original recipe of Charles Tanqueray who distilled it for the first time in 1830 in London. It includes four distillations in traditional copper stills and four botanicals: juniper berries, angelica roots, coriander and licorice, inserted just before the start of distillation. The master’s touch is in the use of very pure demineralized water to be added to the distillate before infusing the botanicals, useful for extracting the best of their organoleptic properties, respecting the genuineness of aromas and perfumes.
