Trebbiano

Lorenzo Mattoni is a craft winery in the heart of Umbria, at Bevagna, deeply tied to the Sagrantino tradition. The cellar follows a way of working that respects the land, with careful handling and fermentation in concrete that brings out authenticity, elegance and longevity. The Mattoni family is one of the most genuine expressions of Umbrian wine culture. This Trebbiano IGT is made entirely from Trebbiano Spoletino grown on the hillsides of Bevagna. Winemaking involves maceration on the skins and fermentation with native yeasts, followed by ageing in concrete tanks, to preserve freshness and aromatic complexity. The result is a white that is structured yet dynamic, with a strong sense of place and a craft character. In the glass it shows a luminous golden yellow. On the nose come scents of ripe citrus, aromatic herbs, white flowers and light mineral notes. On the palate it is fresh, savoury and lingering, with a pleasant acid tension that carries the sip through to the finish. Ideal with seafood starters, grilled fish, shellfish, fresh cheeses and delicate Mediterranean pasta dishes. Serving temperature 10–12 °C Region: Umbria
