A Sauvignon that expresses the freshness of the Friulian hills with elegance and precision. Lively aromas and a refined palate intertwine in a wine that captivates from the first sip, perfect for those seeking authenticity and character in every glass.
Casali Maniago is a historic winery with roots dating back to 1585. For nearly 500 years, the family has dedicatedly managed the Buttrio-based winery, cultivating 112 hectares of vineyards. The production philosophy is based on quality, respect for the environment, and appreciation of the terroir, elements that make each wine an authentic expression of Friuli.
This Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali DOC comes from vineyards located on marly-clay soils, ideal for expressing complexity and minerality. Vinification involves soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the varietal aromas. Maturation on the lees in stainless steel, with frequent bâtonnage, enriches the wine with structure and finesse.
It has a bright straw yellow appearance. The nose reveals intense aromas of citrus, bell pepper, and tomato leaf. On the palate, it is savory, refined, and persistent, with a pleasant mineral note on the finish. Ideal with light appetizers, refined first courses, asparagus risotto, and fish dishes.
