The Sauvignon from the Arctic Farm is produced in the vineyards between Aprilia and the Colli Lanuvini from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. At the sight it has a straw yellow color with greenish hues, while the nose is delicate with a prevalence of floral and herbaceous notes. On the palate it's fresh and fruity, with a slight minerality and a pleasantly acidic finish.
The Arctico winery was born in the late 90s following the acquisition of vineyards between Aprilia and the Lanuvini Hills. Once the old vineyards were explanted, they were planted among the most important clones of international variety, in order to enhance the favorable climatic conditions and the characteristic limestone composition of the Pontine countryside and the Roman countryside. In 2012 the vineyards seem ready to give the first positive results and so it was, reaching today the goal of 16,000 bottles a year obtained from illustrious varieties such as Malvasia Puntinata, Trebbiano, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Arctic Sauvignon is vinified in purity but among 3 clonal varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, whose proportions vary from year to year. It is a wine that satisfies the palate, with a dry and balsamic note. Perfect with seafood crudités, and spicy fish dishes with fresh herbs.
