Château Clinet is a small Pomerol estate that has made giant leaps forward over the past 15 years and now produces one of the most sought after wines in the region. At the end of the 1980s the directives of the cult winemaker Michel Rolland were put into practice, and after a few years the Clinet wines began to be combined with those of Pétrus, Lafleur and Le Pin.
RONAN By CLINET, “Grand Vin de Bordeaux”, is a wine with the appellation “Bordeaux” a.o.c. It is named after Ronan Laborde, the young director-manager of Château Clinet, and is produced with 100% Merlot grapes by the winemaker team of Château Clinet. The vinification is carried out in stainless steel. In 2010, 300,000 bottles were produced. The 2010 vintage, all balance and finesse, is expressed with rich and deep notes of raspberry, cherry, licorice and cocoa. It is internationally regarded as one of the high-quality Bordeaux wines with the best value for money. The absolute reputation of Château Clinet is confirmed by the score of 100/100 assigned by Robert Parker for the 2009 vintage.
