The Regius of the Giangirolami company is an intense and fresh white wine from Lazio, which releases hints of exotic fruit and aromas of lumps. It is an organic wine; in fact, his company has been using a natural cultivation method since 1993, both for treatments and for fertilization. Regius is a pleasant blend of flavors that comes from the union of Viognier, Sauvignon and Chardonnay grapes.
The Regius is the result of a cultivation and production that has been operating with organic farming for over 20 years. The Giangirolami company was founded in 1956 and over time was transformed into a reality of 80 hectares of land between vineyards and orchards, all treated and fertilized in full respect of the ecosystem.
The vineyard consists of three bodies registered in the register of IGT Lazio vineyards; of these two fall within the area of the Roman castles in Doc, the other in the Doc area of Cori. In Borgo Montello (Le Ferriere), where the property winery is also located, red grape varieties are grown, while in Doganella di ninfa, in the DOC area of cori, almost all white grape varieties are grown except for Montepulciano and of Nero Buono. The training system is espalier with Guyot or spurred cordon pruning. The planting density is 4000 plants per hectare.
The Regius has a bright straw yellow color. The nose is intense, with aromas of citrus and exotic fruit; pineapple and banana. In the mouth it is fresh, quite savory and full-bodied with a good taste-olfactory correspondence.
