A ruby red color that contains an intense bouquet rich in red fruit among currant and strawberry, followed by sweet spices. Podere La Borla Monsupello is a pleasantly ample wine, without excesses and extremely elegant also thanks to the Pinot Noir used for the blend.
The Monsupello farm was born about a century ago, back in 1893 in the locality of Cà del Tava in the municipality of Oliva Gessi. It was later in 1914 that the Boatti family bought another estate called ” Podere La Borla ” in the municipality of Torricella Verzate a few kilometers away. Here they built the same cellar which today has been enlarged, improved and made modern thanks to new production technologies. The company now boasts 50 hectares of owned vineyards to have low yields of grapes per hectare, the manual harvest is carried out exclusively in boxes. An all-Italian company that is constantly evolving according to current market needs, and well oriented to continue the path started by Carletto very well.
Podere La Borla Monsupello is produced only in the best years with grapes grown in the municipality of Torricella Verzate with South-West exposure, East with a clayey-sandy soil. Thanks to the low yield in the vineyard, the Barbera, Croatina and Pinot Nero grapes give the raw material for a pleasant, round and complex wine.
