The Pinot Grigio is another good wine of the Tramin winery. The homonymous grapes of origin give this white South Tyrolean freshness and aroma suitable for tasty culinary combinations. A Alto Adige DOC wine.
The grapes come from vineyards that extend on hills adjacent to the mountain, at an altitude between 250 and 500 m above sea level, on calcareous soils of clayey and gravelly conformation subjected to strong temperature variations. Pinot Grigio belongs to the Pinot family of Burgundy and is related to Pinot Blanc and the ancestor of the Pinot family, Pinot Noir. In France this vine is called “Pinot Gris”, in Germany “Ruländer”, where it received the name of the trader who imported it.
Pinot Grigio is a full white wine rich in extract and has a straw yellow color. Its taste is delicate and pleasantly soft. In full-ripened wines, notes of walnuts and honey stand out.
