With a dark gold appearance with apricot reflections, with a deep, balsamic scent with notes of camphor and the typical pungent Jamaican aroma rich in esters, this rum is robust aromatic and spicy, but made more gentle and round by the vinous influence and sultanas from sherry barrels.
From the palate identical to the perfume but with some notes of resin, pine needles, black pepper and a hint of flour. The overall impression is dry and spicy, the aftertaste remains warm, peppery, and lively, the pungent note of Jamaican rums lingers on the tongue for a long time.
Rum Nation was born by chance from the encounter with traditional rum vintage barrels during the selection of whiskeys destined for the prestigious Wilson & Morgan brand. The many years of experience in the refinement of whiskey are also evident in the refinement of rums. The idea that gave birth to Rum Nation was to let enthusiasts try single-origin rum blends with refinements with barrels deriving from marsala or sherry or even Pedro Ximenex.
