The Gran Tiati by Cantine Teanum is a great red with a purple color and the bouquet of red fruit, black cherry, blueberry, cherry, an aftertaste of vanilla and coffee accompanied by smoky notes. It's a structured and balanced wine that goes perfectly with dishes with strong flavors, such as grilled red meats and tasty roasts.
The Teanum wineries are located in Northern Puglia, in that area once called Daunia first and then Capitanate, in a hilly area where 165 hectares of owned vineyards extend, where the best known native vines as well as international varieties are grown. A decade of hard work has led the winery to produce high quality wines thanks to the excellent combination of skills, cultural identities and traditions.
Gran Tiati is produced from Aglianico, Montepulciano and Syrah grapes, harvested manually and sent for careful vinification with 25 days of prolonged maceration in steel tanks. Aging takes place in American and French barriques for at least 12 months, then rests for another 6 months in the bottle. The result is a fragrant and full-bodied wine for flavored and aromatic dishes.
