The Gewürztraminer Feld produced by Armin Kobler in Alto Adige confirms the typical features of this grape with its strongly aromatic bouquet that completely envelops the palate. The Armin Kobler winery is in Magrè in Alto Adige, where the vineyards are grown at about 200/220 meters above sea level. The soil is varied in composition, but mainly calcareous and sandy. The work that is carried out in the vineyard is accurate and aimed at keeping the naturalness of the grapes unchanged, reducing treatments to a minimum and practicing the path of maximum sustainability. The harvest is done by hand by selecting the best bunches intended to tell the story of a territory in a glass of wine.
Armin Kobler’s Gewürztraminer Feld is a Alto Adige DOC which is obtained from rather young vineyards located on clayey-sandy soils rich in Dolomite debris that enhance its freshness and minerality. The bunches are carefully selected and picked by hand, and after pressing, the must is fermented in steel tanks where it ages for a few months before being bottled. In a glass of Feld we find the flavor of the typical South Tyrolean terroir.
