Tenuta Luisa's Friulano is the most authentic expression of Friulian tradition. An elegant, enveloping wine that wins you over from the first sip with its harmony, its velvety softness and the characteristic bitter-almond finish. Perfect for anyone who wants to bring to the table the charm of a singular place and the passion of a family that has devoted its life to wine for more than a century.
Tenuta Luisa is a long-established wine estate at Mariano del Friuli, in the heart of the Isonzo. The Luisa family has grown vines for generations, with a philosophy built on low yields, craft care in the vineyard and the championing of native Friulian grapes. Over the years the estate has earned significant national and international recognition, confirming the quality and elegance of its wines.
Tenuta Luisa’s Friulano is made from Friulano grapes grown in the Friuli Isonzo DOC. Winemaking involves a short cold maceration on the skins, fermentation in steel at controlled temperature and a brief passage in tonneaux. The wine then spends six months on the fine lees and completes its journey with further ageing in the bottle. The result is a white of great balance, able to bring out both the typical character of the grape and the vocation of the land.
Deep straw yellow, on the nose it offers elegant floral scents alongside delicate fruity notes and the characteristic hint of bitter almond. In the mouth it is dry, soft and well structured, with a pleasant freshness that supports its drinkability and a long, velvety finish. Ideal with fresh cheeses, vegetable omelettes, risotto, vegetarian pasta dishes and vegetable-based cooking.
