In 1846, Filippo Mazzetti founded his first distillery in Montemagno, in the heart of Monferrato, and began carefully selecting what was initially considered a waste product from winemaking: pomace. It wasn’t easy at the time to source the finest raw materials from winemakers scattered throughout the most remote areas of Monferrato, but the determination of Filippo, and then his son Luigi, gave rise to a company philosophy that has led to the production of some of the world’s finest grappas. The pursuit of quality and the continuous refinement of distillation techniques are today the secrets to the success of a sixth-generation distillery, capable of sharing with the world the immense sensory heritage present in every Monferrato grape.

The “Gocce d’Autore” Decanter contains the prestigious Grappa di Dolcetto Riserva 13 Anni e 2 bicchieri, aged in wood for over a decade. Elegant and refined, this set is perfect as a gift or for exclusive tastings. A deep amber color with golden highlights, soft and enveloping, it features aromas of ripe fruit, sweet spices, vanilla, and toasted wood. The flavor is warm, velvety, and harmonious, with a long, persistent finish. Ideal for sipping, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, pralines, or cream and caramel desserts.
