Description Technical details

The Marco Carpineti Farm represents a point of reference in the Italian wine scene, distinguishing itself for an approach that expertly combines the centuries-old tradition of local viticulture with the most modern winemaking techniques. Founded with the aim of enhancing the native grapes of the area and restoring wine to its authentic dimension, the company has succeeded in establishing itself over the years, winning the appreciation of critics and wine lovers. Located in the heart of the Lepini Mountains, in a landscape context of extraordinary beauty, the company has several estates, including Capolemole, Pezze di Ninfa and San Pietro. The land, characterized by a notable geological and pedological variety, offers the vines the ideal conditions to best express their potential. The vineyards, cultivated with espalier and grown according to the principles of sustainable agriculture, host a rich ampelographic heritage, with particular attention to native vines such as Bellone, Greco Moro, Nero Buono, Montepulciano and Cesanese. Marco Carpineti’s production philosophy is based on a deep respect for nature and local winemaking traditions. The company places the enhancement of native grapes at the center of its activity, considered an invaluable heritage to be protected and promoted. The winemaking is carried out in a strictly artisanal way, favoring the use of indigenous yeasts and stainless steel and wood containers, depending on the characteristics of the wine. The refinement, both in steel and in the bottle, is prolonged and aimed at enhancing the complexity and elegance of the wines. The Marco Carpineti company is strongly committed to promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. The agricultural practices adopted aim to minimize the environmental impact, favoring biodiversity and preserving soil fertility. The company is also certified organic, demonstrating its commitment to the quality and wholesomeness of its products. The Marco Carpineti Agricultural Company represents a virtuous example of how tradition can meet innovation, giving life to wines of great quality and personality. Thanks to the passion and dedication of Marco Carpineti and his team, the company has managed to enhance a unique territory and introduce the hidden treasures of Lazio viticulture to the world.

Marco Carpineti’s Apolide represents an excellent expression of the native Nero Buono di Cori grape variety, grown with passion and respect for tradition in the volcanic lands of the Lepini mountains. This wine, with a strong and complex personality, is the result of careful work in the vineyard and rigorous winemaking, which enhances its unique characteristics. The Nero Buono di Cori grapes, harvested manually at the right level of ripeness, are vinified in red with maceration on the skins for a variable period depending on the vintage. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, while malolactic fermentation takes place in wood. Subsequently, the wine is aged for a period of approximately 24 months in French oak barriques, during which it acquires complexity and finesse. The volcanic terroir of the Lepini mountains, characterized by soils rich in minerals and a Mediterranean climate with significant temperature variations, gives Apolide a unique and unmistakable personality. The Nero Buono di Cori grapes, grown in this area, express their potential to the fullest, giving life to wines of great structure and complexity.

Color Intense ruby red, with garnet reflections that intensify with refinement, revealing its structure and complexity. On the nose it is broad and complex, with a bouquet rich in fruity notes of black cherry, blackberry and plum, enriched by spicy nuances of black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. Elegant floral hints of violet and delicate balsamic notes are also perceived, giving the wine a pleasant freshness. On the palate it is enveloping and persistent, with soft and velvety tannins that integrate perfectly with the acidity, giving the wine a solid and balanced structure. The taste is characterized by a pleasant flavor and a long and persistent finish, with returns of ripe red fruit and spicy notes. L’Apolide by Marco Carpineti is a wine of great structure and complexity, perfect to accompany important and structured dishes. It pairs very well with roast red meats, game, mature cheeses and tasty first courses. It is also ideal for meditation.
