Aliotto is a Tuscan red from the Podernovo estate: a fine marriage of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot grapes grown on the hills of Pisa, a generous land for winegrowing. It is a structured wine, to be served with game and grilled meat. If you like this wine, take the case of 6 bottles at a special price!
The particular geography and the make-up of the soil create the microclimate and the ideal conditions for growing vines. Tenuta Podernovo lies in the generous countryside around Pisa, a land especially suited to winegrowing. The vineyards sit on medium-textured soils — loam, sand and clay — rich in fossil shells, facing west to east by way of south, at an altitude of 137 metres above sea level.
A structured wine, pleasant and round. On the nose and on the palate it stays true to the character of the grape varieties in the blend.
