The Pinot Grigio Ramato Klanjscek is a rigorous, organic wine, with a strong taste and great authenticity
Since the 1970s the Klanjscek family has been numerous and branched out and, by collecting the concrete and moral legacy of grandfather Mirko and grandmother Hedvika, has contributed to transforming what once represented the most classic of peasant family economies, into a contemporary agritourism concept, where the Klanjscek soul remains beating in the center, always and in any case. “Our labels bear the family name and the memory of grandfather Mirko with this incisive, heavy brushstroke, which is sweet at the same time and almost caresses his face with the hat on his head”. In 3 and a half hectares of vineyards in the hills, in the heart of the Collio Goriziano, with organic cultivation since 2016, but always natural, the Klanjscek winery, today produces about 15,000 bottles of ‘natural’ wine, of great balance and authenticity, thanks to only 5 days of maceration on the skins that allow them to dose the sulfur to a minimum.
The Pinot Grigio Ramato Klanjscek is a rigorous wine, collected in boxes for the middle of September from a predominantly clayey soil, in an ideal climatic context for the vine. Its fermentation takes place in the presence of the skins in open 22 hl vats without temperature control and without selected yeasts, enzymes and clarifications. The wine decants a month in stainless steel tanks, then in 12 hl oak barrels for at least a year with a refinement in glass for 5 months.
The Pinot Grigio Ramato Klanjscek is a white with a golden yellow color with some coppery reflections. The nose shows a large bouquet of acacia and jasmine flowers, fresh almond, hints of golden apple and pear. On the palate it is a fresh and balanced wine, with a strong taste
