The Bolgheri DOC 2020 produced by the Podere Prospero winery, is a wine with an intense ruby red color, the nose expresses enveloping notes of small berries, black pepper and balsamic notes. In the mouth it is extremely balanced, with a long and persistent finish.
Podere Prospero is the Tuscan estate of the Venetian Zenato family. Love at first sight came in the early 2000s, when Carla Zenato was traveling with her husband in Tuscany. The encounter with the territory of Bolgheri, with its countryside with its soft reliefs, with the solar luminosity of the Mediterranean and with the breath of the sea when it arrived among the rows of vines, was irresistible. In fact, in 2003 Zenato bought a small farm in the municipal area of Castagneto Carducci, near the famous via Bolgherese. For a producer of great reds with the native vines of Valpolicella, a new adventure began in the splendid territory of the Tuscan coast and with Bordeaux varieties. The vines of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot of Podere Prospero, if they are located in a more prestigious area of the appellation, on the director that crosses the first hinterland, running parallel to the coast from Castagneto Carducci to Bolgheri.
