Krafuss

The Krafuss takes its name from the homonymous Renaissance-era Maso surrounded by Pinot Noir vineyards. The historic building, framed by vineyards and orchards, is tangible evidence of the driving economic role that the vineyards located above the village of San Michele Appiano had since the Middle Ages. In 1991 the vines were renewed, planting exclusively Pinot Noir dense guyot vines, and in 2013 the cultivation that pays more attention to the natural cycles of cultivation itself. Since then, sheep have returned to graze on the outskirts of the village of Appiano. The vineyards that give rise to the Pinot Noir Krafuss Alois Lageder are located in the hills with a slight slope, where the natural characteristics, the altitude, the orientation, the terrain, the microclimate and the good ventilation, put together create a beneficial tension that it makes the Pinot Noir vine thrive very well. This vine, moreover, already has a long tradition in that territory, and from these grapes a very lively, structured wine with a very refined texture comes to life. Among its most appreciated qualities, elegance, body, mineral notes and salt content stand out.

With a garnet red color with ruby ​​reflections, Alois Lageder’s Pinot Noir Krafuss gives the nose a clear and clear bouquet of blackberries and raspberries surrounded by spices and notes of flint. On the palate it offers a pleasant, elegant and fresh structure as only the best pinot noir wines can do with with elegant velvety intensity.
