Villa Ascenti Gin

Santa Vittoria d’Alba Distillery is an establishment born in Piedmont by the giant of the global beverage Diageo, with the aim of creating a made in Italy excellence producion site of  of artisan spirits aimed at enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Objective achieved thanks to a virtuous project costing 420,000 euros that focuses on quality and sustainability, based on the Piedmontese expertise in the field of wines and spirits, represented by the Master Distiller Lorenzo Rosso, born and raised in Piedmont, and by a network of producers and local farmers as suppliers of excellent raw materials. All enclosed in an ancient factory but equipped with innovative systems and powered by renewable energy sources, in which an old Frilli copper still from the 70s has been carefully restored to produce high quality spirits such as Gin villa Ascenti.

Gin Villa Ascenti was born from the expertise gained in Diageo and in Piedmont by the Mastro Distiller Lorenzo Rosso, in an area with a great wine vocation where local raw materials including muscat grapes, thyme and fresh mint are distilled a few hours after being harvested. In particular, the Muscat grapes of the Piedmont vineyards are harvested in August and September at the best time to be then subjected to three distillations. During the last distillation the grapes are left to infuse with the Tuscan juniper berries in the Frilli copper still. From here you get an amazing Gin which, in addition to embodying the typical aroma of juniper, is enriched with scents all typically Piedmontese, to be enjoyed “sitting around a table with friends” as Lorenzo Rosso enthusiastically claims.
