Rosso di Dama is a blend of Nero d'Avola and Barbera, a grape dating back to Piedmontese domination and planted in Sicily in the 1700s. It's a wine that was born to pay homage to the woman with the poetry of the earth. It has a purple red color and an intense bouquet of sour cherry, red fruits and violet. On the palate it has a good tannic texture, balanced between acidity and flavor.

Description Technical details

The Vinanti winery was founded in 2009 in Chiaramonte Gulfi in the province of Ragusa in south-eastern Sicily dominated by the Iblei Mountains, with the idea of producing wines with a strong territorial vocation and personality. This is the intent at the basis of the entrepreneurial activity of the Mazza and Ventura families who founded and consolidated the winery on a 15-hectare plot aiming for quality and maximum respect for the environment, nature and Sicilian millennial traditions. according to the dictates of organic agriculture without any treatment with chemicals inflicted on the vineyards. The same passionate attention to detail is found both in the vineyards and in the cellar, enhancing indigenous vines such as Grillo, Nero d’Avolla, Syrah, Cerasuollo di Vittoria, Frappato to mention just a few of the varieties at the base of the Vinanti labels, synonymous with Sicilian wine excellence of today.

Rosso di Dama is an organic wine whose Nero d’Avola and Barbera grapes are grown in the province of Ragusa on limestone soils exposed to an ideal microclimate for high quality black berry varieties. The harvest once it reaches its perfect ripeness is the second week of September for Nero d’Avola and the first ten days of October for Barbera. The grapes traditionally ferment with maceration on the skins for 6/8 days, followed by racking, soft pressing and malolactic fermentation. Maturation takes place in steel for 9 months and the wine is further refined in the bottle for another 2 months. Excellent with bluefin tuna and other typical Mediterranean dishes.
