Enyo is the pure bellone of the Agricultural Cooperative Cincinnato of the Cori area, in the heart of Lazio, which associates each bottle with a character from Greek mythology. It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the palate the notes of citrus, melon and yellow peach stand out, accompanied by that mineral note expression of the terroir corese.
Cori is an ancient town surrounded by a wonderful hilly landscape made up of olive groves and vineyards as far as the eye can see. The traces of Roman and medieval times are evident, from the remains of the Temple of Hercules and Castor and Pollux in the Acropolis, to the alleys of the historic center. Here is the Cincinnato Agricultural Cooperative between the Lepini Mountains and the Castelli Romani, born in 1947 by a few dozen farmers with the idea of bringing together forces and resources to market the local wine. Today it has 152 members on a total vineyard area of 450 hectares, and has won international awards that have brought it from most of the world from Lazio. The vines grown are the autochthonous Nero Buono from the Cori area, the Bellone already present in Roman times in the area of the the Castelli Romani, the Cesanese, the Greco and the Malavasia Puntinata. A story that of Cincinnato made of sharing and dedication to the land, where sustainable agriculture is practiced with some completely organic vineyards.
Enyo is a female mytological deity who personified the scream in battle, associated for this with Ares God of war. An eloquent name for a pure white Bellone grape, which is aged one year in steel before bottling. Peculiar is the maceration on the skins and the permanence on its yeasts for malolactic fermentation. A fresh wine with a strong personality, ideal with fish and white meat dishes.
