Allucià is a hymn to the light and the breath of the Mediterranean. A sip that tells of the strong Sicilian sun and of the wind that brushes the vines, offering sensations that are fresh, vibrant and luminous. A wine that calls up summer, the sea and freedom — right for anyone after something authentic and immediate in every glass.
Tenute Navarra grew out of Totò’s dream, with roots in the Sicilian soil going back to 1951. After years of experience and work, in 2019 he realised his plan to champion the land he came from, buying an estate at Butera, in the heart of Sicily. Together with his family he carries forward a vision that joins tradition and innovation, bringing out a terroir like no other between the sea and the inland hills, rich in history and identity.
Allucià is Grillo alone, and it states the Mediterranean character of south-eastern Sicily clearly. Vinified in steel to preserve its freshness and aromatic integrity, it comes from vineyards at 350–400 metres on clay-bearing soils. Six months on the lees give structure and complexity while keeping its remarkable drinkability.
The nose opens on fragrant scents of citrus and white-fleshed fruit, alongside delicate floral notes and a marked minerality. The palate is fresh and harmonious, with a perfect balance between acidity and savouriness. The finish is persistent, with elegant mineral and saline returns.
Ideal with fish dishes, shellfish, seafood, light starters and Mediterranean cooking.
