In 1999, the Antinori family’s over 100-year-old winemaking tradition joined that of the Counts Maggi to manage the vineyards of the Montenisa estate in the heart of Franciacorta and produce labels of absolute value such as Cuv\u00e9e Royale, Contessa Maggi, Conte Aino, Blanc de Blancs and Ros\u00e9. The hills on which the flourishing vineyards extend are those around the wonderful village of Calino, linked over the centuries to the Counts Maggi, a hamlet of Cazzago San Martino in the province of Brescia, where the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc vines have been cultivated for years at the base of Franciacorta production. The best grapes are carefully selected and processed in the historic cellars of the estate, where the art of winemaking is reflected in the grandeur of the secular context, keeper of great traditions.
