To follow the customs of the time, Giuseppe, son of Antonio, opened a caf\u00e9 in the center of the city with an adjoining sweets workshop. A worthy heir of such an enterprising father was Dante, who in the early twentieth century not only added home banquets and receptions to his main business, but also started the production of artisanal liqueurs. As regards the many specialties based on almond paste, Dante found in the chocolate, used for coating, a precious ally to prolong their shelf life. In the 1960s, his son Vincenzo found fertile ground to intensify the production of chocolate and pastries: with an innovative spirit, he invented recipes, enriched the confectionery production and decided to identify the company with the buggy brand.
