The Costa Ar\u00e8nte winery is located in the municipality of Grezzana (VR), in the heart of Valpantena, one of the valleys where the prestigious wines of the Valpolicella denomination are produced. Costa Arente is located in the hamlet of Romagnano at 250 meters above sea level, surrounded by vineyards on three sides, Costa Ar\u00e8nte is an estate of 35 hectares of which 17 are planted with Pergola Veronese and Guyot. The winery takes its name from “La Costa” (‘costa’ means ‘hill’ or ‘ridge’ in Veronese dialect), over the years La Costa, despite going through the traditions and agricultural transformations of the territory, has always maintained a great peasant tradition due to the goodness of its land and its strategic position.<\/p>\n
Valpolicella Ripasso di Costa Ar\u00e8nte is a red based on Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella with the addition of other red grape varieties, the vineyards are located on clay-loam soils rich in minerals. Part of the wine from the vinification of hand-picked Valpolicella grapes was passed over the Amarone pomace for 10-14 days. The wine obtained is subsequently aged in oak barrels for 18 months, fermentation takes place for another 6 months in the bottle.<\/p>\n
Valpolicella Ripasso di Costa Ar\u00e8nte on the nose has an intense ruby \u200b\u200bcolor and violet reflections, on the nose the aromas are strong and decisive of aromatic herbs and red berries, red fruits, cherries and juicy currants, it also has spicy nuances of pepper . On the palate it is soft and with a slight acidic streak but nevertheless with an inviting drink.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
