It all started in 1960 with his father Sergio Zenato, who with energy and ambition, animated by his deep bond with the territory, experimented with new winemaking techniques and invested on native vines, to obtain wines of the highest quality. Today, his wife Carla together with his sons Alberto and Nadia, with the same passion, tenacity and infinite dedication, make Sergio’s great company grow, spreading the excellence of Zenato wines in over 60 countries of the world. Thus, the soul of the Lugana territories and the heart of Valpolicella continue to expand their borders. The vineyards extend for 75 hectares in the Zenato estate of S. Cristina in San Benedetto di Lugana, suited to Trebbiano di Lugana and in the Costalunga estate in Valpolicella, home of the famous Amarone Zenato, which is home to the renowned Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta vines.<\/p>\n
The decision to produce a sparkling wine from Trebbiano di Lugana grapes dates back to the foundation of the winery in 1960s. the deep knowledge of this variety that has a high capacity of adaption to climatic and environmental conditions, is the heritage of Sergio Zenato, who has learnt how to make the best of it. The creation of the bubble with the classic method enhances the features of the grape itself liberating all its purity. The must obtained by light pressing is fermented with the natural yeasts of the grape itself at a controlled temperature of 16 \u00b0C in stainless steel tanks, till the moment of blending and bottling for the second alcoholic fermentation in the bottle. The bottles stand in racks for 18 months and the wine evolves and matures thanks to the action of the yeasts, with the release of aromas from cellular breakdown. The bottles are then clarified and then the deposit is removed by d\u00e9gorgement.<\/p>\n
