The Chianti Classico “Filetta di Lamole” by Fontodi is a Tuscan red wine produced with the main grape variety of the Chianti area, namely Sangiovese. Aging in large barrels allows the variety to achieve perfect expressive harmony, with a complete ripening of the tannins and a particularly fascinating aromatic facet.

Fontodi “Filetta di Lamole” is a Chianti Classico that is produced in one of the most suitable areas in the whole of Tuscany. The particularly suitable soils, the sunny and breezy exposures and the good temperature ranges allow grapes to ripen with intense and elegant aromas. The vineyard is considered the center of all Fontodi’s activity and, for this very reason, the estate is managed with the utmost respect for nature and environmental biodiversity.

The “Filetta di Lamole” Chianti Classico is a splendid version of pure Sangiovese, made only with the best grapes from the vineyard of the same name located at about 600 meters above sea level. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with classic vinification with maceration on the skins and, before bottling, matures for 24 months in large French oak barrels. In the glass it has an intense ruby red color with luminous reflections. The nose opens with aromas of violet petals, licorice root, cherry, small red berries, hints of undergrowth, spicy sensations, memories of blond tobacco and leather.
