The Venica & Venica winery has its roots in 1930 and has consolidated itself as a reality that well interprets the synthesis between tradition and innovation. Located in the heart of Collio, in the hills between Udine and Gorizia, land of Ribolla Gialla, it is strictly family-run and stands out for its eco-sustainable vocation, for its great commitment to maintaining the integrity of the land and protecting biodiversity. All the vineyards are managed and designed with Biodynamic Agriculture, and in 2011 the company joined V.I.V.A. SUSTAINABLE WINE – Evaluation of the impact of Viticulture on the Environment – national pilot project launched by the Ministry of the Environment in collaboration with nine companies and three research centers for sustainable wine “Made in Italy”. The project measures the sustainability performance of the vine-wine supply chain, starting from the calculation of water and carbon footprints (Water and Carbon footprint).<\/p>\n
P\u00e8tris by Venica & Venica is produced with grapes of the indigenous variety Malvasia Istriana from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, harvested by hand in mid-September and subsequently macerated for about 20 hours at a temperature of 10\/12 \u00b0 C according to innovative procedures to limit its intake of antioxidants. The must ferments and refines on its lees for 5 months both in wooden barrels and in steel containers, before being bottled at the full moons between March and June as tradition dictates.<\/p>\n
