The history of the Colonnara cooperative brings us back to 1959, when a passionate group of 19 winemakers founded the winery in Cupramontana, on the Marche\u00a0region hills where verdicchio reigns. The passion for the land and the obsessive care for the vineyard were the secret that led the winery today to count 110 members who cultivate 120 hectares of vineyards according to an eco-sustainable and nature-friendly approach.<\/p>\n
Pecorino\u00a0by Colonnara comes from the vineyards of the province of Ascoli Piceno on mainly clayey hilly soils at 200 meters above sea level. The harvest is manual, followed by the soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation in steel at a controlled temperature, and subsequent rest on the noble lees.
