Count Augusto Carlo Giorgi of Vistarino was the first to import into Italy in 1850 the Pinot Noir grapes from France by planting them in the vineyard of his Tenuta Rocca de Giorgi, owned by his family since 1674. Through the years and generations the spirit remained the same enthusiast of the beginning, and today the farm extends for 826 hectares of which 200 are vineyards, covering almost the entire territory of the Municipality of Rocca d\u00e8 Giorgi on the hills of the Oltrep\u00f2 Pavese in Lombardy, always respecting its typical biodiversity. With the guidance of Ottavia Giorgi of Vistarino wine production has increasingly gone towards the pursuit of quality and environmental sustainability in the sign of the best maintenance of those so prosperous lands. Conte Vistarino’s Pinot Noir Ros\u00e9 Brut Sparkling Wine is produced exclusively with Pinot Noir grapes usually harvested in late August, fermented in steel and then fermented in autoclave according to the Charmat method, with its yeasts aged for 2 months.
