Maison Jean-No\u00ebl Haton is an independent family winery at Damery, in the Vall\u00e9e de la Marne (Champagne, France). Founded in 1928 by Octave Haton, it is run today by Jean-No\u00ebl and his son S\u00e9bastien, together with other members of the family, who follow every stage from the vineyard to the cellar to make their cuv\u00e9es by traditional methods and with respect for the terroir.<\/p>\n
Cuv\u00e9e Ros\u00e9 comes from a skilful blend of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a share vinified as red. Aged for at least three years, it shows finesse, structure and a marked aromatic identity. In the glass it is raspberry pink with elegant coppery reflections and a creamy white mousse.<\/p>\n
The nose is intense and fragrant, with notes of redcurrant, fresh strawberry and stone fruit, followed by orange peel, pine resin and a delicate toasted hint. On the palate the attack is moreish and refined, with a broad, generous finish of great persistence. Ideal as an aperitif, it is a fine match for fruit desserts, strawberry tart above all.<\/p>\n
