The Fuselli family has carried the philosophy of Terre del Marchesato through generations, in a winery that gives an authentic voice to the Bolgheri tradition. With Papeo, Maurizio wanted to celebrate a place from his childhood: Poggio Papeo, a rise between Bolgheri and Monteverdi where, as a boy, he went with his grandfather Emilio to gather firewood. An affection that today has become a wine that stands for their roots.<\/p>\n
Inedito is an IGT Toscana made from Merlot, Syrah and a share of Cabernet Franc, trained on a single spurred cordon. The grapes ferment in steel vats, to preserve liveliness and primary aromas. Ageing continues for 4 months in French oak barriques, which softens the tannins without covering the wine’s fruity character.<\/p>\n
Deep ruby red, clear and substantial in the glass; a rich, immediate nose with notes of cherry, plum and ripe red fruit, followed by spicy hints of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a sweet vein of pastry and creamy vanilla. Warm, soft and well structured on the palate, supported by a balanced acidity and well-integrated tannins. The sip is full, harmonious and lingering. Perfect with flavourful pasta dishes such as pappardelle in white rag\u00f9, risotto alla milanese or amatriciana; also ideal with delicately prepared game (pheasant, hare).<\/p>\n
