Grappa Invecchiata astucciata

Borgoscuro Invecchiata is the result of an exclusive blend of grappas from three vintages.
The base comprises 65% red pomace, mainly Cabernet and Merlot, and 35% white pomace, distilled separately in small steam boilers and bain marie vacuum stills, managed individually for each type of pomace. After blending of the three vintages, Borgoscuro Grappa Invecchiata matures in 450 to 680 litre ash and Slavonia oak casks until it achieves perfectly balanced character and aromatic complexity. 

The colour is an attractive bright golden yellow. Sweet spicy hints dominate on the nose, to extend to sensations of ripe peaches, quinces and toasted hazel nuts. In the mouth it is warm and enveloping, soft and well-balanced; leaves a sensation of sweet liquorice on the palate.
