The Lagrein of Kurtatsch Kellerei Cantina represents an oenological excellence of Alto Adige, the result of a combination of winemaking tradition and modern winemaking techniques. This red wine, obtained exclusively from Lagrein grapes grown in the lush vineyards of Cortaccia, unmistakably expresses the unique characteristics of the Alto Adige terroir. The vinification of the Lagrein of Kurtatsch Kellerei Cantina involves alcoholic fermentation in steel, followed by aging in large oak barrels for a period that varies depending on the vintage. This process allows to obtain a balanced wine, with velvety tannins and a harmony between the different aromatic components. The Lagrein grapes used for the production of this wine come from vineyards located in Cortaccia, an area characterized by a continental climate with significant temperature variations between day and night. The soils, predominantly calcareous and gravelly, give the wine a marked minerality and good longevity.
