Diciotto Lune

The Marzadro Distillery is a fascinating complex made of stone, wood and glass, immersed in the greenery of the Trentino vineyards in the town of Nogaredo. The architecture was entrusted by the Marzadro family to Bolzano architects Walter Maurmayr and Plaickner, who, based on the concept of contemporary craftsmanship, created a structure completely integrated into the surrounding area. The high value of the new system from an ecological point of view is also highlighted by the spatial orientation of the buildings, which are in fact positioned to make the most of their position in relation to the sun. All the operational phases are carried out inside the distillery, which were previously dispersed in various locations scattered between Rovereto and the surrounding municipalities. The new structure consists of three buildings, dedicated respectively to production and storage, to the storage of pomace and to administrative offices.

Diciotto Lune grappa by Distelleria Marzadro is obtained from the distillation of both red and white pomace in a Bain-marie in a discontinuous still. Once extracted, it refines in small cherry, ash, oak and black locust barrels which each offer their own characteristics of perfume, aroma, color and flavour. The aging time follows the rhythms of nature: 18 months pass from moon to moon, a refinement process from which it takes its name. The Master Distiller follows the maturation until the ideal blend and full harmony between wood and Grappa is achieved. Thus was born Diciotto Lune Marzadro, a refined meditation Grappa, Stravecchia emblematic of culture, care and the art of distilling.
The aroma, initially intense, becomes more ethereal and harmonious, the angular taste on entry becomes rounded to give a perception of elegant and silky mouthfeel. The color has a warm amber hue.
