The Falkenstein winery in Naturno, in Val Venosta boasts 90,000 bottles full of fine wines (such as Riesling, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Nero), 14 hectares of vineyards on terraces facing south at a 'between 600 and 900 meters and 100% love for the magical world of wine. Thus, with craftsmanship, attention to detail, authenticity and innovative tradition, the Pratzner family of winemakers carry on the work that their ancestors started, with enthusiasm, passion and pride. Since 1989 the landscape of the Falkenstein wine area was dominated by apple orchards. initially, viticulture was to be a secondary activity for the family, but eventually Franz and Bernadette Pratzner ventured together in a new, different direction, abandoning the fruit growing business and devoting themselves to viticulture. In Falkenstein, the wine reflects the winemaker, the passion and philosophy with which the vine is treated. They are produced naturally and we work with respect for the environment, remaining faithful to the intergenerational motto: live in close contact with nature and appreciate it, but never underestimate it.

Sauvignon Falkenstein is a bottle in which the grapes are able to express themselves at excellent quality levels, recognized by all fans of this international vine. It comes from sandy soils interspersed with granite, gneiss, slate, mica and quartz at more than 600 meters above sea level. The bunches are harvested by hand during the harvest at the end of September, and after the destemming the grapes are pressed. The grapes are fermented and subsequently matured in large acacia wood barrels (10 months) on coarse yeasts and refined in the bottle (12 months).

Sauvignon Falkenstein is a very rich and intense white wine, with an exotic and exuberant aromatic profile. It shows up . On the nose, juicy aromas of apple, citrus and other ripe fruits that emerge from a taut, mineral and very engaging texture. On the palate memories of black currant, grapefruit and elderflower, accentuated acidity in the finish.
